Will getting my car repaired at Bergens Autobody affect my vehicle warranty?

Bergens Auto Body is a family owned SGI Elite auto body shop and a Trusted Regina collision repair expert.  From the moment you walk in the door, you will be treated like family! We are proud to have over 80 Years Auto Body Experience, and have been serving Regina Autobody needs for over 30 Years….In our latest blog, we answer a common question. Will getting my car repaired at a local body shop affect my vehicle warranty?

There are plenty of things that can void your car’s factory warranty, which is enough to put a lot of people on edge. The biggest question is usually centred around, “Where can I get my car serviced that won’t affect my vehicle’s warranty?” There is a misconception out that in order to maintain your factory warranty, the only place you can get your car serviced is at the authorized dealership who sold it to you.

Do I have to take my vehicle to the dealership for collision repairs?

No. It is a large misconception that local body shops are not as qualified as a dealership to work on your vehicle.

Automotive dealerships aren’t always the right choice for your vehicle if it’s been in a collision or vandalized.

Many dealerships don’t have in-house auto body shops and will only recommend certain independent repair facilities. We are highly recommended by many dealerships.  We are as well trained and often times more trained to do comprehensive bodywork to ensure your vehicle is repaired.   At Bergen’s Auto Body we treat you like family and provide service that is second to none.

As a consumer of automotive collision repair, you have a number of rights which, if exercised, could better ensure that your vehicle will be repaired in a proper, complete and safe manner. Choosing the body shop where your vehicle will be repaired is an important decision, and in most cases, you have the right to make that decision. Not all shops are alike, however, when it comes to having properly trained technicians and the equipment and facilities needed to fix your vehicle right, so making a well-informed choice is key.

Remember, the body shop is fixing YOUR vehicle for YOU, and it’s important you’re comfortable with the shop you choose.

At Bergen’s Autobody, we are an SGI Elite Certified Body Shop – All accredited repairers are required to meet or exceed the highest levels of equipment, certification and training and must warranty the repair for a minimum of 1 year. However, at Bergen’s we go beyond those requirements and guarantee our work for as long as you own the vehicle.   There are 4 levels of accreditation for SGI-approved repair shops: Elite*** – Top level of recognition, exceeding SGI’s requirements for certification. Can perform vehicle damage estimates on eligible claims.
